Angel Locsin pens a heartfelt message for the health workers.

These past few days, Angel Locsin is one of the Kapamilya stars who initiated the rally.

Many people joined them on the street to voice out their disappointment to ABS-CBN’s shutdown.

However, many netizens condemned them for having a large gathering despite pandemic.

Some say the virus can be spread through their rally because social distancing is not observed.

Recently, a group of health workers wrote a letter addressed to President Rodrigo Duterte as they seek to return the quarantine status of Metro Manila from a relaxed GCQ to stricter ECQ.

Amid the growing distress of the healthcare front-liners regarding the ongoing public health crisis, Angel Locsin has written a heartfelt message to them to show her sincere gratitude and unwavering support.

She took to Instagram to share her words.

Seemingly addressing the plea of health workers amid overwhelming demands in hospitals due to the ongoing C0VID-19 health crisis, Angel began by apologizing on behalf of each and every of Filipino — including herself — for being “pasaway” at times.

Patawad kung minsan ay pasaway. Ngunit nais iparating, kakampi nyo kami, health workers,” she began. “Mag do-doble ingat para makagaan sa pasanin kahit paano. Wag sanang panghinaan ang inyong loob. Mahal namin kayo. Naka-supporta kami sa inyo. Kailangan namin kayo. Kayong mga bayani sa giyerang ito. Maraming salamat sa sakripisyo para sa amin.

In a separate post, Angel also lamented the government’s alleged lack of compassion towards these medical front-liners.

Nung una, UP ang kalaban… Ngayon naman health workers. Pagsuporta ang kailangan. Hindi pagsindak. COVID po ang kalaban. Hindi ang mamamayan,” she said.

Since the onset of the pandemic in the country, Locsin has led or actively taken part in campaigns to bring aid to frontline workers and vulnerable sectors.
