SENATOR Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. on Sunday, August 9, 2020, announced that he has tested positive for C0VID-19.

In a statement released via social media on Sunday afternoon, Revilla said he took the test after one of the members of his household and one of his staffers tested positive.

Revilla assured his supporters that he is doing well and that his wife, Cavite 2nd District Rep. Lani Mercado and their children are also fine and have tested negative.

Revilla noted that the last time he went out was last Monday, as he went to the Senate and last Tuesday, to mark the 40th day since his father, former senator Ramon Revilla Sr., had passed.

“Sa payo ng aking doktor ay itutuloy ko ngayon ang aking quarantine, but will be under observation,” he said.

Thank you for your prayers,”

Meanwhile, Revilla’s wife Lani Mercardo airs her reaction towards the bad news.

She quipped that it’s hard for her that she can’t even hug and able to take care of his husband.

She also asks for prayers for the immediate healing of Revilla.

Revilla is the latest senator to have tested positive for C0VID-19 after Senators Juan Miguel Zubiri, Sonny Angara, and Koko Pimentel.

Will pray for your fast recovery, Mr. Revilla!
